What Is Amorpulse? Who Is It For?
Amorpulse is a relatively new player in the international dating market, having opened in mid-2023. According to SimilarWeb, it sees around 190,000 monthly visitors, primarily from the US and the UK. It welcomes singles from all over the world, from 18 and up, with plenty of mature daters in their 50s and 60s.
It doesn’t specify this on the homepage, but most member profiles claim the members are looking for long-term relationships or marriage. But as far as I can tell, most users are happy with online-only communication, romantic or friendly.

To give you the most detailed and objective Amorpulse dating site review, I signed up for an account, filled out my dating profile, and went on testing every feature I could find, from tutorial to search and messaging. Here are my takes on everything I’ve experienced.
Tutorial
Most people reading this post are likely familiar with dating site operations, but if you’re new to the game, the FAQ and Tutorial section on Amorpulse will be particularly helpful. The only major difference is that you can focus on one profile instead of scattering your attention across the grid. The search parameters are the same across both tabs, and they only let you focus on two aspects: age range and country. There’s no way to select women with specific looks or interests.
Considering how detailed most profiles are, it’s a shame the dating site misses out on the opportunity to add more search parameters. Stumbling across a compatible match is pretty challenging, even in the best conditions.
Profile Verification
On its homepage, Amor Pulse claims, “Our moderation team thoroughly monitors every participant”. There was also mention of profile verification in the FAQ section. But I found no badges or other signs that member profiles were verified. And when I followed the instructions to verify my own profile, I found no such functionality.
So it’s hard to tell whether the platform actually verified profiles and, if so, how the process works. At least, there are standard blocking and reporting tools. I suggest you exercise caution and use them if anyone behaves suspiciously.
Messaging
Like on most dating sites, you can choose between mail and live chat. The former works better for long-form writing. I found it especially helpful when women sent their intro letters with more details than I could find in their profiles, even if the letters felt a little impersonal.
Live chat is better for a real-time Amorpulse dating experience. It’s fast-paced and more interactive, especially because most ladies are eager to share their private photos and videos. You need to be careful with those. There’s no confirmation, so the instant you click on a file, even if it’s by mistake, the website will charge your balance. The same goes for sending media messages. So be extra sure you’ve chosen the right file.

Let’s assume you spend 30 minutes in live chat every day. That’s around 900 minutes per month, for which you’ll need 1,800 credits. That’s around $400 per month, with a few spare credits left for media messages. Overall, not the most expensive dating site I’ve seen, but not the cheapest either. I guess it would work if you only log in a few times a month and don’t want to commit to a monthly subscription. Otherwise, the expenses can ratchet up very fast.
Amorpulse Reviews and Complaints
It’s hard to form an opinion about the dating site based on its reviews. On Trustpilot, its rating is only 1.6 stars based on 45 reviews. There are many complaints about questionable profile authenticity and premium communication features designed to increase credit charges. One-star reviews (85%) far outnumber positive posts, and there’s only limited reaction from the website representatives.
In contrast, Amorpulse.com reviews on SmartCustomer are the opposite. Out of 43 posts, most are positive, resulting in a 4.1-star rating for the website. Users praise the UX, genuine profiles, and icebreaker questions, but their complaints are a bit different, focusing on restrictions on contact exchange and slow customer support response time.
Redditors are equally divided in their perceptions of Amor Pulse. Some claim it delivers on its promises, while others question its operations. As you’ve guessed from this Amorpulse review, there are pros and cons to this dating site, just like any other. I enjoyed member profiles and extensive galleries, but found the search and messaging functionality pretty limited. Video messages in particular seemed overpriced at 50 credits per clip. If you prefer a more targeted search for matches and a wider variety of free and premium features, I’d point you toward Amourlee or Quickmedates.
